Designs of Bathroom Vanities

Posted by admin in July 28th 2010

Just a sink and mirror may be all many people need in their bathrooms, but many people with importunate taste and pizzazz in their furnishings may choose to upgrade their bathroom with a vanity unit that combines the mirror portion with shelving and a seat, which makes an all-inclusive place to get ready in the mornings. If you are a do-it-yourself type, you can probably make this on your own with the shelves and mirror with little effort. However, custom bathroom vanity units that are manufactured by furniture companies also make a modern scheme in any room. This includes a child’s bathroom, or the ability to blend various color schemes. Many of these units, while very popular and easy to find can be quite expensive ranging from $200 to $2000, so it is necessary to take into account specific budgets when choosing to purchase a vanity for the bathroom.

You may find some online warehouses that offer specific discounts when ordering directly from them. For example, modernbathroomvanities.com has a very large inventory with many different styles in which to choose. For instance, they have antique and art deco pieces to choose. There are also double sink varieties of vanities that include the two mirrors and two sinks, of course, these are more expensive than the single-sink variety. However, the double sinks do not require two water lines connected to it, and in fact, many vanities do not need further plumbing installed or special hookups that are electrical.

One of the more aesthetically lovely is the antique vanity design. These design boast definitive wood tones, handsome seams, patterns and elaborate decorations. Additionally, almost all vanities that are antique actually are hand-carved from real wood, which makes them darker, with a rich color, while offering sturdiness and longevity. The Aurora construction, for instance is made of solid oak that is hand carved, and the color is a deep mahogany or a brown red and had up to seven different layers. In addition, it has a marble countertop, a basin made of porcelain, and the mirror is framed in silver. It comes as no surprise that the Aurora is the top of the line for all vanities that are found. Of course, they also cost about $3000, making it more expensive then most, but regardless of the cost, those that have purchased it, rate it very high.

Keep in mind that everyone’s tastes is different and many may not like the antique models and prefer the more modern design. An artistic vanity that is creative in form is just as functional as the antique models. The Asti or floating unit include everything separate including the mirror, sink, and drawers, which give the illusion that it is projecting from the walls. It offers straight lines along with uniform coloring which creates a luxurious design, but it is almost $5000. Many people are willing to pay the extra amount for the style and quality.
