Posted by David Armstrong in June 13th 2010

Are you trying to figure ceramic tile patterns? There are many people that are putting tile down but they have no clue what they are doing. There is no 50/50 chance that things are going to come out good. Usually when a novice goes in with no plan, things are not going to be pretty. This is why I am glad that you are researching ceramic tile patterns. In this article we are going to look at some top tips on using your ceramic tiles.

There are a lot of different reasons that you may be wanting ceramic tile patterns. You may want to create a beautiful back splash or you may be doing the floor or walls. The options are really limitless and they can come out amazing if you take the time to learn what you are doing and actually do it the way that you are taught and shown by either a contractor, ceramic tile patterns you find online for free or buy or by some other instructions that you have found.

Many people are not very creative so they do not even think about using ceramic tile patterns for their home. They simple take the same color tile and put it down in their floor or on their wall and there you go, it’s done. While this may be an effective way of doing your floor or wall,  ceramic tile patterns are really going to allow you to spice things up and make things look like someone with imagination lives there.

There are many different ceramic tile patterns that you may put into use. Maybe you will do the simple rows or possibly a brick pattern, but if you really want to get wild you can do such things as diagonal, basket weave or windmill patterns. You can choose to use the same color tile or tile that are different colors, the choice is up to you.

Many people like to use the same color of tile in their ceramic tile patterns as the rest of the room that they are putting the tile in but sometimes you can really make things look neat if you add some new colors into the mix. If you do not want to get too crazy, you can simply use the base colors and then put in a few of the new colors, or do it the other way around by putting in new colors and just a little bit of the base colors.
